I specialize in micro and small braids and have been perfecting my craft for over a decade. Beyond braiding, I’m also a visual artist and the founder of a growing global directory (Around The Way Braids) for braiders and Black-owned hair products. My intention is to help people feel beautiful, confident, and cared for, while also saving them time and money through protective and long lasting braids.

Clarity Call (Consultation Required): A hair consultation is required before booking to ensure the selected service is suitable for your hair type, condition, and desired outcome. During this call, we’ll assess your hair’s health, discuss your goals, and determine the best hair style options for you. The braiding hair and braiding gel are provided by me. We will discuss what hair product and braiding hair best suit you. This helps guarantee a smooth appointment experience and the best possible results.
Hair Health First: Your hair’s integrity and scalp health are my top priorities. If your hair shows signs of breakage, thinning, or scalp issues, I will recommend postponing your appointment to allow time for recovery. You’ll receive personalized recommendations for protective styles, treatments, and hair products to help strengthen and restore your hair before braiding it.
Hair Length Requirement: For all micro braid services, you must have a minimum of at least 2 inches of natural hair all around your head. This allows for secure, consistent braiding and helps ensure long-lasting results. If you're currently growing your hair from a short cut, please let me know during your consultation call. We’ll assess your hair’s condition and determine if micro braids are suitable at this time, or if it’s best to wait and consider an alternative protective style for now. Healthy hair is always the goal, we’ll work together to get you there.
Tension-Free Install: My braiding technique is gentle, precise, and tailored to accommodate any sensitive areas on your scalp. Every install is done with a tension-free approach, ensuring comfort while prioritizing long-term hair and scalp health. You can expect beautiful results without unnecessary discomfort, tension or pain on your scalp.
Time Commitment: Micro braids are a highly detailed and time intensive hair style. Depending on the length and density of the braids, appointments may take a full TWO DAYS. Please plan accordingly and be patient, respectful and accommodating throughout the process.
Pricing: The prices reflect the time, skill, and precision required to complete each braid style. My braids are a highly labor intensive service that demand patience, focus, and care. This is tedious, intricate work, and every effort is made to ensure your braids are beautiful, long-lasting, and truly worth the investment.
No-Show & Cancellation Policy: Due to the time commitment required, a non-refundable deposit is required to secure your appointment. Please provide at least 48 hours notice for any changes or cancellations.
Hair Appointment Expectations: As a traveling braider, I’m entering into your space to provide a high-quality, professional service. To ensure a smooth, safe, and respectful experience for both of us, please review the following.
A Safe & Respectful Environment: The space must be free of drama, inappropriate behavior, and illegal substances. I reserve the right to leave if the environment becomes unsafe or unprofessional.
A Clean Space: Please have a clean, quiet, and ventilated area available for the appointment. This helps ensure focus and comfort, for a seamless experience.
Lighting & Setup: A well lit area, chair with back support, and access to a nearby electrical outlet (for access to charging devices) A small table or surface to place supplies is also appreciated.
No Disruptions: Please minimize distractions, no large gatherings, loud music, or unexpected interruptions during the appointment.
Children & Pets: If children or pets are present, please ensure they are supervised and do not interfere with the service.
Health & Safety: If anyone in the home is sick or has been exposed to illness, please reschedule. My tools are cleaned and sanitized between clients, and I bring my own clean supplies to maintain a hygienic setup.
Clean Hair: Please make sure your hair is clean, dry, and detangled for a smooth install process.
Safety at hair Appointment: Your safety and comfort are always a top priority. Please review the following guidelines to help create a safe, respectful, and peaceful environment for both you and your stylist:
Health & Hygiene: If you're feeling unwell or have had recent exposure to contagious illness, please reschedule your appointment.
Respect Personal Boundaries: I work closely with your scalp for extended hour, please be respectful and appropriate of personal space and hygiene during the session.
Timeliness: Please be prepared to start on time to ensure we can complete your style without rushing. Starting out late will impact the process, beyond a certain grace period we will have to reschedule the appointment.
Photo & Video Content Consent:
By booking a service with me, you acknowledge and agree to the following:
Photos and/or videos may be taken during or after your appointment to showcase the braiding process and final results.
Content may be used for marketing purposes, including social media (Instagram, TikTok, etc.), website galleries, and promotional materials.
Your face will never be shown without your consent. If you prefer to remain anonymous or only have the back of your head shown, please let me know at the start of your appointment.
All content created is the property of ‘Magdaline’s Micros’ and may be edited or shared at my discretion for promotional use.
